The Department of English started its journey since the inception of the Campus here at Agartala, Tripura on 04-06-2013 onwards. This Department offers English as a subject as part of the course for the students from Prakshastri to Shastri. From 2013 to 2022 English was taught as compulsory subject. Then from 2022-23 onwards Prakshastri students study English as optional subject whereas Shastri students study English as AECC-2 (Compulsory subject) at 1st& 3rd semester level and as Generic Elective (if opted) throughout six semesters. |
